Heading to OBX

Tomorrow, my 2 travel buddies and I are heading to the Outer Banks at Kitty Hawk. We have never been there and are excited to be going there for a week.

Pictures to follow…

This is our 4th trip together. We all taught at the same elementary school and retired within a few years of each other. Four years ago, we were talking about taking a trip together in September and it has been an annual tradition since.

Here are the four lighthouses we visited on our trip. Two of us walked the 219 steps to get to the top of the first one, Bodie Lighthouse. Thank goodness the park ranger stopped 3 times along the way, but what a view from up there!

In order to “watercolor” the photos, I used the Waterlogue app. I do love that app!

Strength

Yesterday I decided to add a quote to my posts, so here is installment no. 2. Then it occurred to me, why not go back and include quotes in previous posts? Well, then this would not be installment no. 2, but I think you get my drift (or at least I hope you do).

We we need to embrace what we have accomplished and continue to support each other in this crazy, scary, exciting journey called life. I often see my weaknesses and sometimes they are pointed out to me by others. Today I choose to see my strengths. Today I choose to support my family and friends. Today I choose to love life.

I hope that you enjoy your day knowing that at this very moment you are all that you need to be.

Remembering…

“How important it is to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes.”

I was just thinking that I wanted to add a quote to each blog and Dr. Angelou came to my rescue today.

This day is so much like 9/11/01; beautiful blue sky, beautiful weather…

Remembering…

GOD BLESS AMERICA!
